Who we are
KOVA FINANCE, S.L. (Housefinan), company registration/tax ID B40536161, with registered office at Calle Felip María Garín 4, floor 1, B2, 46021 Valencia, Spain, operates the U.S. Housefinan website and is responsible for the website practices described in this Policy.
Privacy questions can be sent to info@digitaldatacontrol.com.
Scope of this Policy
This Policy applies to the U.S. Housefinan pages at www.housefinan.com/us/ and to personal information collected directly through those pages. It does not govern a separate website, lender, mortgage broker, servicer or other third party that you choose to visit from Housefinan.
Information we collect
The information we collect depends on how you use the site.
| Category | Examples | Why it may be collected |
|---|---|---|
| Contact information | Name, email address, phone number if you choose to provide it | To respond to a question or request |
| Inquiry information | Topic selected, message content, information you voluntarily include | To understand and respond to your request |
| Technical and security data | IP address, browser/device information, timestamps, server logs, anti-abuse signals | To operate, secure and troubleshoot the site |
| Website preferences | Technical session state or cookie preferences, when used | To provide requested functionality and remember privacy choices |
| Interaction data | Pages or links used if measurement tools are enabled in the future | To understand site performance, subject to this Policy and applicable choices |
Do not send sensitive financial information through the general contact form
Housefinan's general contact form is not designed to collect Social Security numbers, bank-account credentials, payment-card data, passwords, full tax returns, full credit reports or copies of identity documents. Please do not include that information in a general message.
If an external mortgage provider asks for sensitive information as part of an application, that collection is governed by the privacy notice shown in that separate service.
How we use personal information
- Respond to your inquiry and provide requested support.
- Operate, maintain and troubleshoot the website.
- Protect the site, prevent spam, fraud or misuse, and maintain security logs.
- Understand website performance and improve content where lawful measurement tools are used.
- Comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms and protect legal rights.
- Carry out another purpose disclosed to you at the time of collection, with consent where required by applicable law.
Mortgage inquiries and external application environments
Housefinan's educational site does not itself underwrite or approve U.S. mortgages. Certain buttons may direct you to an external mortgage, comparison or partner environment. That external service may request information that Housefinan's general contact form does not collect.
Review the privacy notice presented by that third party before submitting information. The general Housefinan contact form does not automatically send your message to a mortgage lender.
Who may receive personal information
We may disclose information to vendors that help host, secure, maintain or communicate through the site, but only as reasonably necessary for those services. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or security, or in connection with a merger, reorganization, financing, sale or transfer of all or part of the business.
We do not disclose a general contact-form inquiry to a lender merely because you visited Housefinan. If a separate mortgage flow involves a lender or partner, that disclosure should be explained in that flow before you submit the relevant information.
Cookies and online tracking
The current U.S. public-page build does not intentionally load third-party advertising pixels or third-party analytics tags. A technical session cookie may be used by the server when a contact form is enabled to support basic security and anti-abuse controls.
If analytics, advertising or other tracking technologies are introduced later, this Policy and the Cookie Policy will be updated and any controls required by applicable law will be provided before or when those technologies are activated.
Sale, sharing and targeted advertising
Housefinan does not sell personal information for monetary consideration through the current U.S. site. The current public-page build also does not intentionally use third-party advertising technology for cross-context behavioral advertising.
If future advertising, analytics or partner technology is considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or processing for targeted advertising under an applicable U.S. state privacy law, we will provide the required notice and opt-out method and update this Policy.
How long we keep information
We keep contact inquiries only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain appropriate business records, protect against abuse, comply with law and address potential legal claims. Retention can vary depending on the type of information and why it was collected.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, alteration or disclosure. No Internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security.
U.S. state privacy rights
Depending on where you live and whether a state privacy law applies to Housefinan, you may have rights concerning your personal information. These can include rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a portable copy of certain information, and rights to opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising or profiling.
California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, including rights to know/access, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information where applicable, and receive non-discriminatory treatment for exercising privacy rights.
Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have similar or additional rights, including a right to appeal a denied request in some jurisdictions. Rights and exceptions vary by state and by whether the law applies to the business.
GDPR legal bases and rights
Because Housefinan's operator is established in Spain, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) also applies to processing carried out in the context of that establishment, including when a website user is located in the United States.
Depending on the processing activity, our GDPR legal bases may include taking steps at your request, our legitimate interests in responding to inquiries and operating and securing the website, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where a specific activity legally requires consent.
Subject to the conditions and exceptions in the GDPR, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability, and the right to withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis. You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) or another competent supervisory authority.
Global Privacy Control and universal opt-out signals
Where applicable law requires it, Housefinan will recognize a valid browser-based Global Privacy Control (GPC) or other legally recognized universal opt-out mechanism for processing that qualifies as a sale, sharing or targeted advertising.
Because the current U.S. public-page build does not intentionally use third-party advertising or analytics technology for those purposes, there may be no such processing to opt out of today.
Children's privacy
The U.S. Housefinan site is designed for adults researching home financing and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the site, contact us so we can review the request.
International processing
Housefinan's operator is established in Spain. Personal information from U.S. users may therefore be processed or stored outside the United States, including in Spain or elsewhere in the European Economic Area, as well as by technical providers in other locations. Privacy and data-protection rules can differ between jurisdictions.
Where applicable law requires specific safeguards for an international transfer, we will use the measures required for that transfer.
How to exercise a privacy right
To submit a privacy request, email info@digitaldatacontrol.com and describe the right you want to exercise and the state in which you reside. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests. Where permitted by law, an authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf, subject to appropriate verification.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right provided by applicable law.
Updates to this Policy
We may update this Policy when our data practices, website technologies or legal obligations change. The version posted here is the current version.
